Sick of sleaze, dodgy expense claims and MPs/MEPs who just don’t represent you?

Then it is time for a change, not just a change of personnel but a change in the whole system, a vote for the Jury Team will get you a representative who is not a professional politician, instead it will get you someone who is independent of all the political parties, someone who does not bow to any party whip, someone who really cares.

The new line-up is ready take a look at www.juryteamsouthwest.eu for full details of how we are different.

Yes that’s right, the Transport Minister has been scamming the second homes allowance for years.

Not content with claiming a second home allowance on his family home, which while within the rules it is certainly morally wrong, he then proceeded to move into a rent free Whitehall apartment and rent out his London Flat.

Geoff Hoon defends his scamming by saying “he has stayed within the rules”, but I’m not sure the rules say you are entitled to scam the taxpayer!

I would expect greedy MP and MEP’s who blatantly scam the system to stand down, however I fear that Parliament would be empty.

By David Cameron’s own admission the problems in the expenses system were shared by all parties, so I assume he means they are all up to it!

MP’s and MEP’s are supposed to be trustworthy upstanding citizens who lead the country by example, but instead we have just got a bunch of money grabbers, who hide behind the rules they make, while robbing us blind.

It really is time for a change!

Nice to see our MEP’s are earning their money, 3 of our Conservative MEP’s are taking on the might of the EU with their struggle for our right to say what we want, or so they would have us believe.

If an election was not due soon, then I would expect this non story to never even see the light of day.

So what is it all about; as we know the European Parliament is full of MEP’s from all different countries, so in a bid to help MEP’s and translators a small booklet was produced giving guidelines as to gender neutrality, in everyday language we have options, is the material used to make my shoes synthetic or man-made, when my house is on fire is it put out by a firefighter or a fireman.

This is the reality we live in, things that used to be gender specific are no longer so; the EU issued a helpful guide to help everyone deal with some incompatibilities between certain languages, so our MEP’s choose to try and cause a huge political argument not because they really believe it is wrong, but because they want to get their names into the press so they can be elected again in June.

There are serious issues that require attention in Europe, and we are paying people to whinge about the publication of a helpful booklet.

If this is the best we can expect from our MEP’s, then it is no wonder that people don’t bother voting!
